Глагол was / were в английском языке представляет собой две формы глагола to be – быть, в прошедшего времени - Past Simple. Формы различаются по лицам и числам: в форме was глагол используется в единственном числе, кроме второго лица (местоимения you), were – во множественном числе и в единственном числе второго лица.
